Declutter Before Packing
In order to save your time and money, you need to decide what should be packed and what shouldn’t. Things you don’t use or need anymore you can always sell, donate or store.
Clean, Plan and Organize
Plan the entire moving process, step by step, and include all the errands you need to run before and after the move. Of course, you can rely on our support and guidance – from the first meeting, until the last item is placed exactly where you want it.
Start Packing or Leave it To Us
All your belongings should be protected, wrapped and neatly packed into boxes. You should use Styrofoam, bubble wrap, and packing paper to pad the inside of the box. Items such as lamp shades should be in a carton by itself. Also, we recommend you label the boxes very clearly, room by room. This way, the unpacking process will be effortless. We Will Do a Visual Inspection
Next Stop Movers will perform a visual inspection of your inventory to define where to place items at your new home or office, and configure the load in case we need to make some extra stops on the way.
Prepare Your Furniture
Clean and dust your furniture, empty bookshelves, cupboards and drawers. You can either disassemble furniture that shouldn’t be transported in one piece, or leave that to Next Stop Movers team as well. Make sure you strip your beds and pack bed linens separately.
Make Enough Space
Clear walkways, and park your car away and out of the driveway, so that we have enough room for the maneuver. It would be smart to keep your pets somewhere safe, in order to prevent injury or running out of open doors.
Prepare Your Appliances
Unplug all your electronics, and remove propane tanks for any fuel powered appliances. Your TV, musical Instruments and any other appliances that you have original packaging for, should be in their original packaging. Otherwise, we can provide the proper boxes for them. Drain and thaw refrigerators and freezers at least a couple days prior your moving day. Keep in mind that we do not transport gas, propane, flammables, perishables, firearms, aerosol, or any hazardous materials.
